Skiing in Poiana Brasov
Poiana Brasov is a modern winter ski resort with international recognition. It is located only 13km from the city of Brasov, in Romania, at an altitude of 1020m.
It got its name from the medieval city of Brasov in the Carpathians and it lays in one of the sunniest valleys, on the northern side of Postavaru Mountain which is part of the Meridional Carpathians Mountains.
"Poiana" from Romanian means "field" or often the resort is called Poiana Soarelui (Sunny Glade).
The resort was built for outdoor sport activities and it offers stunning views of the Romanian Carpathians. It is not a big resort, but here you will find 8 well-prepared ski slopes of various difficulties: from very easy to very difficult.
Here you will find all types of holiday accommodations: from luxurious hotels to fantastic apartments and villas. There are many restaurants, bars and clubs.
